You can build a fire pit of cement blocks and bricks, and you can use it for heat during an outdoor winter event, for light during a night under the stars, or for roasting food. You can disassemble the brick hearth when it is no longer necessary, putting the bricks in storage or reusing them for a different project.
Arrange ash cinder block fire pit in a circular, square or rectangular shape on the ground. You should be able to put your grill grate on top of the bricks so that their edges rest on the bricks. Make sure that the holes in the concrete blocks are vertical to keep the heat of the fire from escaping. Place a layer of bricks on top of the cement blocks. Make sure the bricks are touching, as the lagoons will allow the heat of the pit to escape.
